On the 29th of June, 2024, Corona Secondary School Agbara celebrated the graduation of its Class of 2024 with a splendid ceremony themed “Beyond the Horizon: Leaving a Legacy.” The event was hosted by the principal, Mr. Innocent Oaikena, and was filled with an atmosphere of pride and accomplishment.
The ceremony featured Dr. Morayo Afolabi-Brown as the Guest Speaker. Dr. Brown, an alumna of Corona School Gbagada and the first Head Girl of Corona Secondary School Agbara, is now the Managing Director of TVC Entertainment. Her inspiring speech resonated deeply with the graduating students, encouraging them to pursue excellence and make a lasting impact.
The Special Guest of Honour, His Excellency, Donald Duke, former Governor of Cross River State and Corona School alumnus, graced the occasion with his presence, adding a touch of prestige and honour to the celebration. The ceremony was also attended by Hon. Justice R.I.B Adebiyi, Chairman of the Corona Schools’ Trust Council, along with distinguished Heads of Schools, the Executive Management of Corona Schools’ Trust Council, Heads of Schools, dedicated staff, supportive parents, and proud alumni.
In recognition of their exceptional achievements, outstanding students were honoured with awards and endowments across various categories, celebrating their hard work, dedication, and remarkable accomplishments.
The 2024 graduation ceremony of Corona Secondary School Agbara was a beautiful and memorable event, embodying the Trust Council’s mission to provide world-class education to children, to inculcate high moral and ethical values in our students as we prepare them for lifelong learning, service, and fulfilment, and to raise the well-rounded child.
