I want to welcome you warmly to Corona School, Lekki. I am really very glad to have you here! I am very happy to be serving as the Head of School and therefore consider it a wonderful priviledge and opportunity to be leading this dynamic, happy and forward-looking community.
These are very challenging, yet exciting times both globally and nationally. We are constantly looking for new ways to position ourselves in order to respond to unforeseen changes so that we can serve you better. We understand that life is about making huge impact through service and also teach our children that service and significance are the major keys to success
We believe parents are the main influence in their children’s lives. We therefore place a high value on building a relationship with the child and with the family.
We believe that when a child’s social and emotional needs are met, he or she can participate fully in the wide range of learning opportunities here at school.
We therefore encourage parents to take advantage of the times that we are in to develop stronger bonds with their children.
With the unexpected transition into online learning as a result of the lockdown imposed on us by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have continued to deploy our classroom teaching and learning experiences with cutting edge technology and methodologies through our enriched online CE-Learn programme.
Our curriculum goals are based on the philosophy of providing world-class education in a safe and conducive virtual environment.
We deploy our curriculum elements effectively as we actively and passionately pursue our goal of developing an outstanding, well rounded and total child.
We are able to achieve these by providing a crèche, playschool and nursery to children aged six months to five years. This is driven by the implementation of the Montessori curriculum.
Our primary education for children aged five to ten years is driven by our proudly Nigerian Corona Plus and International Primary Curriculum.
At Corona School Lekki, we build connections between the child’s world of learning and life at home. We therefore invite you to be a part of this amazing journey.

Our History
Situated in the serene area of Abijo, Ibeju-Lekki, the Lekki School is the youngest of the Corona Schools.
The school was established in September 2008 at a temporary site at Agungi, Lekki. In 2009 a second temporary location operating concurrently with the Agungi campus was opened at Idado Lekki to serve the rapidly expanding population.
Corona School, Lekki later moved to her permanent site in Abijo, Ibeju-Lekki September 2013. The pioneer Head of School was Mrs. Adeyoyin Adesina who moved from Corona School Victoria Island, where she was the Head of School.
More than 50% of the pioneer staff were pooled from other Corona Schools to maintain the Corona culture and tradition in the new school.
Mrs. Adetokunbo Matilukuro, took over as the mantle as the 2nd Head of School. Today, the school’s management is led by Mrs. Grace Omo-Egbekuseo as the 3rd Head of School.

Academics
The Corona School Lekki will offer a blended Nigerian and British curricula equipping students for entry to top advanced level and undergraduate programmes in Nigeria and various parts of the world.
Professional teachers
We have designed a plethora of programmes to support the learning process. These include a learning programme, robust co-curricular activities as well as mentoring and counselling programmes.
Our Classes
The curriculum is intensive, and the students will have intensive classes during the day. The school will deploy wireless technology on its campus and the integration of technology with the learning process.
FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
An interview is scheduled for candidates in Nursery One while a written test is first administered to candidates in other classes, followed by an oral interview.
Candidates are not considered for admission into terminal classes such as Class Six but transfers from sister schools are treated on discretionary basis by the Heads of Schools.
A provisional Letter of Admission, Parents’ Undertaking and Illness Indemnity forms are issued to successful candidates within the space of one week after the interview.
Acceptance of admission must be communicated after payment of fees has been made in designated banks and proof of payment sent to the business office within a period of two weeks.
Parents receive a welcome pack giving them information on what and how they are expected to prepare the child(ren) for resumption.
Tours are conducted on designated Open Days by each school, some before and some after the interviews; this is communicated to parents by individual schools.

Nursery One: 3 years
Primary: 5 Years
Secondary: 11 Years
Our curriculum is not Nigerian and British. It’s a blend of Nigerian and International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
All of our dedicated staff work together to plan lessons and activities in order to incorporate a combination of real-life scenarios, play experiences, problem solving opportunities and book work.

School resumes at 7.00am and closes at 1.00pm. However, after school activities run between 1.00pm-2.00pm, Mondays-Fridays.

Yes, all Corona primary schools run the same curriculum. The same applies to the Corona secondary schools.
We run a revolving admission cycle for all our classes.
Admission from the nursery into the primary is automatic for only Corona pupils. A diagnostic reading assessment is administered at entry level to ascertain the level of readiness for each child. This is necessary to provide the required intervention and support for each child.
Application forms for Creche cost N30,000.00 (Thirty thousand naira) only.
Application forms for Playschool cost N20,000 (Twenty thousand naira) only.
Application forms for Nursery cost N15, 000.00 (Fifteen thousand naira) only.
Pupils across all classes can be transferred from one primary Corona School to another at any time within the school year based on availability of space. The secondary schools can be contacted directly for midstream admissions.
