In furtherance to her Connect Series and true to her promise, Corona Schoolās Trust Council (CSTC) in conjunction with the Corona College of Education (CCED) organized a free one-day teacher training exercise on Thursday 20th June, 2024 at the CMS Grammar School within Somolu LGEA.
The training themed āPersonal Effectiveness: The Effective and Efficient Teacherā was designed to enhance the personal effectiveness and efficiency of teachers of teachers in public primary schools and was attended by over 100 teachers from selected public primary schools within the Somolu Local Government and Bariga Local Council Development Area. Also in attendance were the representatives of LASUBEB and Somolu LGEA.
The goal of the training was to empower primary school teachers with requisite innovative teaching methodologies, share best practices in education among teachers, address common classroom challenges, provide up-to-date methods and practices to help them deliver education in a more creative and engaging fashion. The training was facilitated by the Head Consult of Corona College of Education, Mrs Adenike Onafeso.
The teachers, after the training, confirmed that they got immense value from the sessions especially in the areas of classroom management, lesson planning proficiency, and personal effectiveness and efficiency. The positive feedback from participants underscores the value and impact of such professional development initiatives by Corona Schools.
Present at the event were representatives of Corona Schools, staff of Corona College of Education and Mr Lawal, the HOD for Education at Somolu LGEA.
The Corona Connect Series, as a CSR Initiative by Corona Schools, continues to add value to the basic education terrain with over 100 children being sponsored to schools across Lagos State, library rehabilitation, educational material donations, feeding schemes, supporting adopted public schools and so much more.
