The Year 6 2024 graduation ceremony at Corona School Gbagada, themed, “Dream, Believe, Achieve,” was a spectacular and colourful event. We were honoured to have His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, grace the occasion following a compelling invitation from Toluwanimi Adams, the outgoing head boy of the 2024 set.

His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi expressed his enthusiasm for the children’s aspirations after hearing their citations read aloud. He noted with joy that many of them had dreams that surpassed what he could have ever imagined at their age. Emphasizing the importance of early goal-setting, he highlighted that these children, equipped with the ability to pursue their ambitions, are poised to become exemplary leaders. He encouraged the graduates to continue following the paths laid out for them by the school, describing it as the best legacy for success.

The event also featured the presentation of various awards to students pupils excelling in academics, sports, and community service, celebrating their hard work and dedication. He also gave each child a handshake, an act that we are certain the children will never forget.

In his address, Mr Peter Obi also urged teachers to keep guiding and monitoring the children’s progress, stressing that their work is far from over. He also advised parents to continue providing the best education and care, ensuring their children grow into the leaders Nigeria needs for the future.
