Corona Secondary School Agbara Celebrates Academic Excellence and Resilience at 2023 Speech and Prize Giving Day
The Corona Schoolsâ Trust Council is delighted to announce the resounding success of the annual Speech and Prize Giving Day, a momentous occasion that celebrated academic excellence, outstanding achievements, and the indomitable spirit of our students at Corona Secondary School Agbara. The theme for this yearâs event was âThe Emergence of Stars.â
Â
The day commenced with an inspiring opening address by the principal, Mr. Innocent Oaikhena, who underscored hard work and dedication. He encouraged both parents and students to appreciate every achievement and effort put towards achieving success. He also challenged every student to never give up regardless of what comes their way but rather keep trying, keep pushing and keep working hard. âYou are stars and their time to shine is now.â – Principal, Corona Secondary School Agbara.
Â
The highlight of the event was the recognition of academic brilliance. Prizes were awarded to students who demonstrated exceptional performance across various subjects and grade levels. Corona Schoolsâ Trust Council takes immense pride in these students, who serve as beacons of inspiration for their peers and embody the school’s commitment to academic excellence.
Â
Beyond academics, the Speech and Prize Giving Day also celebrated achievements in extracurricular activities, sports, and community service. Students were applauded for their outstanding contributions in areas such as arts, sports, leadership, and community engagement. The diverse talents and achievements of Corona students were on full display, showcasing the school’s dedication to nurturing well-rounded individuals.
Â
The event was graced by the presence of the esteemed Dr. Chibuki Aigbe, a seasoned medical doctor with over a decade of experience in clinical and administrative medicine who also happens to be a proud CSS Agbara alumna, class of 2004. She is currently serving as Practice Manager at One Wellness Center. Dr. Chibuki delivered a thought-provoking keynote address, encouraging students to dream big, persevere in the face of challenges, and always strive for excellence and continuous growth. Her address resonated with both students and parents alike.
Â
Corona Secondary School Agbara is proud to have hosted yet another successful Speech and Prize Giving Day, a testament to the commitment to excellence that defines our institution. As we celebrate the achievements of our students, we look forward to witnessing their continued success and growth in the years to come.
