In a spectacular showcase of academic prowess and achievement, Corona Day Secondary School recently hosted its 3rd Speech and Prize Giving Day themed “Celebrating Excellence.” The event commenced with a warm welcome from Mr. Amoo, Ag. Principal of Corona Day Secondary School, who extended his greetings to everyone present—parents, teachers, students, and staff.
“Success is a journey, not a destination, and it comes in diverse forms”, Mr Amoo emphasised in his opening remarks, He highlighted that the day was not just about applauding academic achievements but also about recognizing outstanding character, good manners, and showcasing the unique gifts and abilities of the students. He urged everyone to reflect on their actions and individual journeys.
The event was graced by the presence of a distinguished personality, Mr. Adeolu Akinyemi—a seasoned business leader, serial entrepreneur, and financial intelligence trainer and coach. Mr. Adeolu delivered an inspiring address, encouraging the audience to be aware of their environment. “There is no regular path to success and that the real world begins the moment one wakes up and becomes aware and engaged with what’s happening around them” he said.
His words resonated with the audience, emphasizing the importance of being present in the moment and adapting to the ever-changing dynamics of the world.
