United Nations Day at Corona School Lekki
This year’s United Nations Day, themed “Cultivating a Culture of Peace,” beautifully highlighted our dedication to fostering a compassionate, inclusive community.
Learning goes beyond textbooks and stationery; it includes activities that shape character, health, and teamwork. True learning includes nurturing the whole child intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. Sports and physical activity play a vital role in this process, helping students develop essential life skills and habits that last a lifetime.
Building Confidence and Team Spirit
Participation in sports encourages teamwork, leadership, and discipline. Whether it’s football, basketball, swimming, or a simple relay race, students learn how to work with others, handle competition gracefully, and take responsibility. These experiences are foundational to building inner strength and self-confidence, qualities that serve students well in every area of life.
Supporting Physical and Mental Health
Regular physical activity helps children stay fit and healthy. But beyond the physical benefits, exercise also reduces stress and improves focus and concentration. This directly supports academic success and emotional well-being. A child who feels good physically is more likely to stay engaged and motivated in schoolwork.
Encouraging Balance and Holistic Growth
Our approach at Corona Schools is rooted in balance. As we shape future leaders, we want to ensure they are not only academically strong but also well-rounded individuals who value movement, wellness, and personal growth. This is why our co-curricular programs and seasonal events like our holiday camps (Summer Camp, Easter Camp, etc) place emphasis on structured play, team sports, and physical challenges.
Summer Camp 2025: A Dynamic Extension of Learning
This year’s summer camp promises to be one of our most exciting yet. In addition to our academic enrichment sessions, students will engage in structured sports and physical education activities, including our first-ever Football Camp in partnership with Southampton FC. Through sessions like these, children are encouraged to push boundaries and develop new interests and skills, all while having fun in a safe and supportive environment.
At Corona Schools, we see sports not as an extra but as an essential. Because raising well-rounded learners means shaping minds, bodies, and character every single day.
At Corona Schools, we remain dedicated to our mission of providing excellence in education, and we invite you to be part of this incredible journey.
