On Thursday the 22nd of September 2022 the Corona Schools’ Trust Council launched the Out-Of-School project for children in Ago-Egun in the Bariga Local Council Development Area of Lagos State with the enrolment of 20 pupils into Adeife Sodipo-Akindeko Memorial Primary School, Bariga.

This initiative, tagged the Corona Connect project, focuses on out-of-school children between the ages of 6 – 15 years in select underserved communities for enrolment into Lagos State public schools for their Basic Education programme.

Over the years, we hope that this pioneering set will be joined by other members of their community and other underserved communities across Lagos in various schools. The scope of this intervention includes educational supplies, a full uniform kit, and support with school lunch.

We want to thank the parents of the new pupils, the Ago-Egun community and its leaders for welcoming us and reposing confidence in us and our mission.

To all the Lagos State officials who showed up to support us today, we say thanks to the Lagos State Government.

Finally, we would like to thank our able partners

@foodcliquesupport who supported us with 50 food boxes as part of their support for this initiative.
