- Purchase of human and non-human resources to meet the needs of students in selected schools in the community.
- Recreational activities.
Description of Activity:
- Students carry out independent/group assessments of needs in selected schools, orphanage homes, old people’s homes and the people living with additional needs in the community.
- Students plan projects and map out strategies to execute them.
- Students raise human and non-human resources to execute the projects.
- Students perform recreational activities with orphans, old people, people with additional needs etc.
- Students donate cash and gifts.
Aims of Activity:
- To drive change in their community
- To inspire students to make a positive impact in the school and the community.
Impact of this Activity:
- This activity encouraged students to actively engage with their community, understand its needs, and work towards addressing them. This fostered a sense of responsibility and civic engagement among students.
- Implementing projects in schools can directly impact the learning environment and educational outcomes for students. This activity contributed to overall community development and well-being.
- By actively participating in community projects, students developed a lifelong commitment to service and social responsibility. This has a long-term benefit for both the students themselves and the communities they serve.
Evaluation Methods:
- Feasibility study report/proposal.
- Project work.
Follow-up:
- Students will evaluate the impact of the activity and make plans for another activity through the year groups as they transfer from one level to another.
- Students will participate in the next Global Social Leadership Programme which enables students to identify the challenges in their comunities and strategize towards assisting to solve them.
