Corona Day Secondary School Lekki Unveils State-of-the-Art 3-Story Academic Building

In a show of commitment to academic excellence and infrastructure development, Corona Day Secondary School Lekki proudly inaugurated its latest addition: a state-of-the-art three-story academic building. The ceremony, held on the 22nd of April, 2024 was graced by a gathering of distinguished dignitaries, educators, and esteemed members of the Corona Schools’ community, notable of which are Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, Executive Chairman of Ibeju Lekki local government, Hon. Bayo Balogun MHR -Ibeju Lekki Federal Constituency, Alhaji Sulyman Bello-The President of Lekki Estate Residents & Stakeholders Association (LERSA), Hon. Justice R.I.B Adebiyi- Chairperson, Corona Schools’ Trust Council Governing Board, Mr. Niyi Yusuf- Member of Corona Schools’ Trust Council Governing Board, Mrs. Adeyoyin Adesina- CEO, Corona Schools’ Trust Council, members of the Corona Schools Executive Management, PTA Representatives, Alumni, members of the press, parents and children.
The new facility stands as evidence of Corona Schools’ dedication to providing world-class education and creating a conducive learning environment for learners. Boasting modern architecture and equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, the building will further improve the well-rounded educational experience Corona Schools is known for.
Among the notable features of the new building is the inclusion of an elevator, ensuring accessibility for students and faculty of all abilities, a fully equipped science laboratory, furnished with the latest apparatus and technology to facilitate scientific exploration, a spacious dining hall, designed to provide a welcoming space for communal dining, and many more features to give children a holistic learning experience.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, CEO Corona Schools’ Trust Council, Mrs. Adeyoyin Adesina expressed her gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed to the realisation of this monumental project. “The unveiling of this three-story academic building marks a significant milestone in our journey towards educational excellence. With its exceptional facilities and resources, we are poised to empower our students to reach new heights of academic achievement”, Adesina said.
The event was flanked by a ribbon-cutting and plaque unveiling ceremony and was concluded with a tour of the new facility, allowing attendees to see firsthand the impressive infrastructure, and learning spaces that Corona Day Secondary School Lekki has to offer. As the school continues to prioritise investment in quality education and infrastructure, the unveiling of this state-of-the-art building reaffirms its position as a beacon of academic excellence in Lagos, and Nigeria at large.
