We welcome you to Corona Schools’ Trust Council

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. On behalf of the students, staff, Management and Governing Board of Corona Schools’ Trust Council, I welcome you to our website as we provide you, not only with information about what we do in Corona Schools but also how we live up to our promise to provide world-class education.

Whether you are a potential parent ‘shopping’ for the best school for your child; an existing parent checking up on latest developments in the schools; an alumnus catching up with your alma mater or future employee looking for new opportunities, I trust this site will be of great help.

Since inception in 1955, Corona Schools’ Trust Council has purposefully made its mark in the Nigerian and global educational ecosystem offering pre-school, primary, secondary and tertiary education, with remarkable pedigree and recognition as an institution providing world-class education.

Over these years, a substantial amount of resources has been deployed to training, molding, building and holistic development of children into well rounded young men and women equipped for continuous learning and leadership, which is in line with our mission and vision.

In conformity with our effort to keep providing quality education, we have strategically developed a curriculum that has extensive extra and cross-curricular linkages which is project and enquiry based, focused on building the skills that will ensure success in the 21st century.

Corona Schools in her culture of continuous improvement has, in the last couple of years, embarked on further enrichment of her curriculum with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). The IPC, used in over 80 countries, is a comprehensive, thematic and creative curriculum which encourages active and co-operative learning, research as well as children taking responsibility for their learning. The IPC strategies have helped children acquire lifelong skills in preparation for the fast-changing world.

Corona Secondary School, Agbara and Corona Day Secondary School Lekki, are the only secondary schools in the Corona Schools’ Trust Council to date is a co-educational day and boarding school offering the following:

  • Junior Secondary School Certificate of Education curriculum (JSSCE)
  • Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint curriculum
  • West African Senior School Certificate Examination curriculum (WASSCE)
  • International General Certificate of Secondary Education curriculum (IGCSE).
  • We also prepare our students for the SAT and the ACCA professional examinations.

The school has over the years successfully presented students for these examinations with astounding results.

Our overarching objective is to ensure that our students can live and work successfully in the hyper-turbulent, globalized and technological world that they are going to work in.

This constant striving earned Corona Secondary School accreditation as a member school of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in 2017. The accreditation attests to the sturdy commitment of Corona Schools’ Trust Council to the development of the total child. We endeavour to ensure that we constantly meet the highest possible standards in the provision of quality education as we constantly refresh our brand with progressive thinking and creative approach. This has made us the trailblazer in the educational sector and accounts for the success stories and testimonies from our students.

I urge you to explore and enjoy our website.
