The curriculum is rigorous, and the students will have intensive classes during the day. The school will deploy wireless technology on its campus and the integration of technology with the learning process.

Most frequent questions and answers

Intending students will undergo the Corona admission process which consists of an entrance examination and an oral interview. Parents and Guardians are required to attend the interview with their children/wards.

All prospective students to CDSS, Lekki are required to go through the Corona admission process which consists of an entrance examination and oral interview. All Corona pupils in the primary section sit for the entrance examination into Corona Secondary Schools in primary six. These exams qualify them for admissions into either the boarding or day secondary school.

Academics – The school offers a rich blend of the Nigerian and British curricula. The curriculum is rigorous and facilitated by well-resourced teachers within a conducive technology integrated learning environment for excellent results.

Co-Curricula – The school’s Co-Curricula programme is in line with the Corona Sports and Co-Curricula Curriculum which focuses on providing platforms for the student’s total development. Students have access to world-class sporting facilities, a rich spectrum of club activities and appropriate educational trips and excursion programmes. 
 
Our sporting facilities include acoustic multipurpose hall, standard swimming pool, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, a large field for sporting activities such as football, rugby and so forth. Students are required to participate in atleast one sport and club activity each, to stimulate interests and nurture budding talents in identified areas. Team Corona is well known for outstanding results in both local, national and international competitions. The Literary Arts, Music, Drama, and Public Speaking, all find expression within the programme and state of the art multi-purpose facility.

The average class size is 20 but no class has more than 25 students.

Bus services will be provided by the school for central pick up and drop off locations. This is an optional service made available to interested subscribers at an additional fee.

CDSS, Lekki will open to Year 7 students in September 2020.

The school is responsible for every student from the time of arrival (drop off time is 7:00a.m) to the time of departure at 4:00 p.m.

Parents/Guardians of students who are on the waitlist will be notified once there is an opening in the class in which admission is sought.

CDSS, Lekki is on a rolling basis and prospective students are free to apply any time of the year. Parents/Guardians will be notified of the admission decision based on the candidate’s performance, as well as other pertinent considerations.

A typical school day starts at 7.00 a.m and ends at 4.00pm

School Lunch is compulsory for all students as provided by the school’s professionally managed cafeteria
