A warm welcome it is to our school and to our website.
I will crave your indulgence to talk a bit of what makes our school awesome
Corona School Victoria Island is one out of the group of schools, managed by the Corona Schools’ Trust Council. Our ethos is based on sound moral principles and ethical values as expressed in our Mission Statement.
A leading independent school for boys and girls aged 3 to 11 years; we are located in a beautiful and serene part of Victoria Island, in the South West of Lagos. We are a large school with about 525 pupils on roll split into 24 classes, comprising of both nursery and primary schools.
Our pupil intake comes from a wide social and geographical background. Our popularity has risen over the years, and found a place as the school of choice. About 180 pupils attend from outside our immediate catchment area through parental preference. The unparalleled support of our parents makes it very clear that our parents trust and respect our school for its moral and academic excellence.
Corona School Victoria Island is a special place with warm, friendly staff dedicated to providing a stimulating and exciting environment where everyone feels valued and safe; where ideas can flourish and pupils realize their full potential. By providing a well-structured and engaging curriculum, and by promoting good behaviour through our leadership program, we aim to enthuse in all our pupils; leadership and lifelong skills, a love of learning as well as respect and care for each other.
Whatever the needs of your child and whatever special interests they have, our aim is to ensure your child thrives and feels safe at Corona School Victoria Island, while having fun and enjoying success. We want to ensure that every moment spent in our school is memorable, building on what they know and can do and help them become lifelong learners.
The partnership between home and school is of very high value to us. Therefore, we encourage all parents to take an active part in the education of their children. The school cannot work in isolation. The partnership between the school’s staff, parents, and other stakeholders is an essential one. Together we set goals that challenge us and with our partners, we constantly ask ourselves ‘how can we do it even better?’
We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our school.
