School History

Situated in the serene of Abijo, Ibeju-Lekki School is the youngest of the Corona Schools. The school was established in September 2008 at a temporary site at Agungi, Lekki. In 2009 a second temporary location operating concurrently with the Agungi campus was opened at Idado, Lekki to serve the rapidly expanding population. Corona School, Lekki later moved to her permanent site in Abijo, Ibeju-Lekki in September, 2013. The pioneer Head of School was Mrs. Adeyoyin Adesina who moved from Corona School Victoria Island, where she was the Head of School. More than 50% of the pioneer staff were pooled from other Corona Schools in order to maintain the Corona culture and tradition in the new school. Today, the school’s management is led by Mrs. Adetokunbo Matilukuro as the 2nd Head of School. She is ably supported by Mrs. Grace Omo-Egbekuse, Deputy Head, Mrs. Temitope Paul-Iroye, sectional Head and Mrs. Edith Omosun as the Nursery Head.
