The pupils and staff of Corona School lkoyi celebrated Independence Day on Friday, 29th September, 2017.

Everyone came to school dressed in beautiful, colourful traditional attire and looked amazing. We had stream presentations in the hall. Class 1 had a musical skit titled ‘Wazobia’ while Class 2 acted a short drama on the ‘Unity of Nigeria.’ Class 3 presented a folklore from Ondo State while Class 4 pupils sang and danced to songs by Chief Sunny Ade, a well-known musician. Class 5 pupils spoke confidently about the country in Igbo language while Class 6 went down memory lane and spoke glowingly about our past great Nigerian nationalists and leaders.

Some of the clubs such as Igbo and Yoruba were not left out of the celebration. Each presentation was good and focused on the uniqueness of our cultures. The presentations were entertaining and informative. Happy 57th Independence Day Celebration, Nigeria!
