The International PI Day is celebrated on the 14th of March every year. This event was celebrated at Corona School Gbagada with pomp and pageantry. The Numeracy Department and the pupils flooded the school with circles of different sizes.
The pupils were involved in a very practical activity of measuring the circles they formed. They made 3 giant circles on the field and calculated PI (3.14). They used a measuring wheel to calculate the circumference and diameter of all the circles and arrived at PI.
The pupils also had a hands-on activity calculating the circumference and diameter of different sizes of pizza and they arrived at PI which they feasted on after the activity. It was indeed an informative and fun filled event.
